Bolivia Salt Flat
The once vibrant towns of San Antonio de Lipez and San Cristobal which fell into desolation and abandonment. Each town is rich with history and intriguing stories.
With its name originating from its appearance, the Arbol de Piedra ("Stone Tree") stands at an impressive 5 meters. The structure was created as a result of the work of wind erosion over millions of years.
Following the collapse of the mine industry of Uyuni in the 1940s, train carriages have been left abandoned and unclaimed. The train graveyard is always a favourite attraction among visitors.
